Good articles on the best practices on tagging

While cleaning up my sidebar, I tried to use the Tag Cloud widget and noticed several tags that were kinda gross-looking (“windows explorer” with double-quotes included for one thing). So I searched for the best practices on tagging posts. Came upon Jonathan Wong‘s very clean blog.

Here‘s his original post on tagging. He then revised that to this post.

(Yes, I suck at paraphrasing what other people had already said, so just go and read their fine articles.)

My categories need some cleaning up too.
